105: Harnessing the Awesome Power of Catholic Mysticism & Deep Prayer

It’s a fact. Far too many Catholics are unaware of the transformative power of the Catholic mystical tradition and deep meditative and contemplative prayer.

This has to change…fast.

Why? Because developing a deep, authentically Catholic spiritual life is the only thing that will heal you personally, heal the Church, and heal the entire world.

Christ himself said it’s the “one thing” necessary in Luke 10.

Which means we need to understand and practice the spiritual life. We need to dive head-first into the teaching of spiritual giants like Sts. Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Francis de Sales, and so many others.

And to that end, I’d like to share with you a conversation on the topic I recently had with two guys – Josh Mazrin and Kyle VanDuser – both working for the Church down in Florida. Among other things, we discuss:

  • Why everyone is called to the mystical life…everyone!
  • The 3 modes of Catholic prayer
  • The absolute importance of Catholic meditation
  • Developing your interior life
  • The powerful role of the Holy Spirit in the life of grace

This is a really powerful conversation. And if by the end you’re not inspired and motivated to step up your spiritual game then you need to check your pulse.

God bless and enjoy!
